When you’re confident, you have nothing to hide and nothing to prove – and that gives you powerful personal sovereignty.
In this video, we’re going to see if we can create absolute confidence in just three minutes. Okay? But first, what is confidence? Well, I’ll tell you what it’s not. Confidence is not being arrogant. Confidence is not being louder than anybody else or being blustery and trying to get your point across. That’s not actually confidence.
Confidence is a peaceful, powerful state of being. It’s a state where everything just flows for you. It’s a state where the right words, the right feelings, the right ideas, the right actions, just come naturally. And in a state of actual confidence, you have nothing to hide, and nothing to prove. And when you don’t have that confidence, that’s when everything just gets stuck. I mean, haven’t you experienced that? Haven’t you experienced a day where nothing seemed to flow, even though you had the right idea and the perfect plan, and you had all the right tools, but you just weren’t feeling it?
Confidence is fuel. And when you have fuel, everything just flows. So let’s see if we can do this in three minutes. Okay? Ready? Confidence only comes from one place. You can’t think your way into confidence. You can’t beat yourself into feeling confident. That’s not how it works.
Confidence only comes from one place. It comes from proof. Having proof that what you’ve done has worked. And you actually created a tangible result for yourself or for someone else. That’s where confidence comes from. So there’s no faking it until you make it. Confidence is only feel-able when you have proof that what you’ve done has worked. And you can experience that right now. But you got to pause, and you have to allow yourself to just look backwards in time. And so I invite you right now to think back just for today, look back over today and think of one thing that you’ve done that went right.
Even if it was the smallest thing, allow yourself to dwell on that just for a moment. Remember whatever you give your positive attention to increases. So what is it, what have you done today that’s noteworthy? What is a small win that you’ve created for yourself or for someone else? And just notice how that makes you feel.
Think of something. What’s something else that’s gone right today? Maybe it’s something that you observed, maybe it’s something you’ve done to take care of yourself, maybe you cleaned up a mess that needed to be cleaned up, and maybe it’s just the fact that you clicked and took action and now you’re watching this video. But allow yourself to feel what you’ve actually accomplished. Allow yourself to feel the progress that’s already been made. And you can feel a little shift.
Let’s pick something else. What else have you done, and maybe it was today, maybe it was yesterday, maybe it was last week. But what have you already done that you can allow yourself to feel just a little bit proud of? Can you feel that shift? Can you feel what happens when you allow yourself to actually become present with what you have accomplished? This is the genesis of confidence.
This is where confidence is born. Is in proof. Creating proof and then noticing proof. And in only a few seconds, you can allow yourself to feel that natural blossoming of confidence, that peaceful, powerful energy where you have nothing to hide and nothing to prove.
