If you choose to be part of any group with a system of collective beliefs, why not do it as a fully self-authorized individual who is committed to Giving, Growing, and Gaining?

There are many words that human beings use to describe the indescribable. And I’m sure you have your word to describe that. Maybe you grew up hearing a certain word. Maybe you grew up with certain beliefs. Maybe you grew up with no beliefs at all. And maybe you don’t even have any strong beliefs about it right now. But there’s no way that any external person or organization can ever have a monopoly on your personal experience of something that defies description.
Whether you choose to call that God or Source Energy or Infinite Intelligence or maybe you’re taking a more of a quantum approach and looking at the quantum field. This is not a video about what’s right and wrong. It’s just a reminder of what’s right for you. And while human beings as individuals, we can be incredibly intelligent, groups of human beings, not always the case.
So this is just a reminder that the connection that you have with this infinite power, whatever force it is that keeps the planet spinning and keeps the seasons turning. Those natural forces that are beyond our ability to comprehend, you have a personal relationship with that. And there isn’t really anybody outside of you whose qualified to tell you what that relationship could be.
And if you’ve been taught to fear that force or if you’ve been taught that that force operates on certain conditions, you have a choice to look at that as a belief rather than an absolute truth. I’m not saying that I’m speaking the truth or teaching the truth. I stopped asking what’s true a long time ago and I just started asking, what’s useful? And it didn’t seem particularly useful to me that all of this was somehow created by a force that got it’s feelings hurt really easily. And that you’re given free-will choice as long as you make the right choice you’ll be rewarded.
That always seemed to me like a fantastic tool of control and conformity rather than honoring the individuality of the human spirit. So whatever your faith is, and where if you have no faith at all, what you do have is the ability to choose. You have the ability to think for yourself.
The ability to think your own thoughts and feel your own feelings and honor those feelings as they unfold. And perhaps in the unfolding of those feelings and in the progression of your own personal journey maybe you will feel something, maybe you will find something that defies description. You have the ability right now to feel for yourself and decide for yourself what’s working for you.
And if you choose to be part of a group, part of an organization, part of a congregation, why not do it as a fully self-authorized individual committing to giving and growing and gaining. And why not allow yourself the luxury of questioning authority from time to time.
